Frequently Asked Questions about our WV-300 Wireless Audio Video Transmitter System

Do I need a separate receiver for each TV? How does the TV receive the signal?

No separate special receiver is required for each TV.  Since this system re-broadcasts the signal in UHF, any of your TVs can receive the signal using any antenna.  You can even use an amplified antenna for long runs or TVs with poor built in reception.

I have a 2.4GHz system but it goes crazy when my computer network is on... and really goes wild when I turn on my microwave.  Does this WV-300 system interfere or receive interference from wireless networks and other devices?
The UHF band is not crowded like 2.4GHz and 900MHz bands.  The UHF system will not interfere with your home wireless computer network, cordless phones, and your microwave will not affect the signal.

Does this product plug in directly to the cable TV line and rebroadcast all of the channels at once?
No, there is not a device available that connects direct to the cable line... they have to connect to a TV, DVD, cable box, satellite receiver, or some other A/V device.  No wireless device on the consumer level can transmit the full channel array... that requires a huge bandwidth and basically, that's what Directv and Dish network do... they send a huge bandwidth from their satellite... and then the receiving end requires a special dish, decoder/receiver, etc.

How do I change channels from the remote rooms?
You use a separate device called a "wireless remote control extender" We highly recommend the RCA brand and you can buy them at Wal-Mart, K-Mart, etc.  They are generally with the DirecTV accessories.  The separate remote extender has a much longer range than any of the built in IR extenders like those included in some of our 2.4GHz wireless systems.

What's the quality of the signal like?
The UHF signal is a full analog signal like normal cable TV.  It is not full digital like DirecTV or Digital Cable... but it's a good analog signal.  It's full compatible with digital cable, etc. but the re-broadcasted signal is analog on the receiving end.
